Game day, and the rest of the week

The jersey is usually the first thing kids want once they have picked Cal Bears to follow. It is the piece that makes the support feel real to them. It also happens to survive the most wear, which is no coincidence once game day rolls around each week.

How it is made

The Cal Bears numerals and letters here are set into the surface rather than raised above it, which keeps the jersey looking tidy under a jacket. Nothing catches when it goes on or comes off. It is a finish chosen for how it wears rather than how it photographs.

Washing and everyday wear

Turn it inside out, wash it cold with the rest of the laundry, and hang it to dry — nothing special needed. Keep the iron away from the pressed graphics, and fold it like any other shirt between games. The Cal Bears jersey asks for no looking after beyond that.

Questions buyers ask

• Is the design on this Cal Bears jersey printed or printed?

The Cal Bears graphics are pressed flat onto the fabric, which keeps the surface smooth and the jersey light in the hand. The color reads evenly across the numerals and letters, and the clean finish layers comfortably under a jacket or hoodie.

• Will the Gold fade on this Cal Bears jersey in the wash?

Wash it cold, inside out, and hang it to dry: the Gold on this Cal Bears jersey holds evenly through weekly laundry. Keep the iron off the pressed graphics and skip high dryer heat, and no other special care is needed.

• What size Cal Bears jersey should I order?

For this Cal Bears jersey, order the usual youth size: close at the shoulder, straight through the body, with length to wear it tucked or out. Anyone between sizes who plans to layer a hoodie underneath in winter usually goes up one.

• Does this Cal Bears jersey come with a player name on the back?

This Cal Bears jersey keeps the back plain, so no player name appears on it. The pressed team graphics and the Gold finish carry the look, which keeps it wearable as rosters change from one season to the next.
