Game day, and the rest of the week

Parents who buy one FIU Panthers jersey for a kid usually end up buying a second the following year. The first one gets worn until it needs replacing, which says more than any size label. Sizing up is not the point; wearing it out, game day after game day, is what parents are actually after.

How it is made

Flat graphics on the FIU Panthers jersey mean the colors read evenly from across a room. There is no shadow line along the edge of a numeral, and no thickness to catch the light at an angle. What you see is the color and the shape, nothing else.

Washing and everyday wear

Turn it inside out, wash it cold with the rest of the laundry, and hang it to dry — nothing special needed. Keep the iron away from the pressed graphics, and fold it like any other shirt between games. The FIU Panthers jersey asks for no looking after beyond that.

Questions buyers ask

• Is the design on this FIU Panthers jersey printed or printed?

The FIU Panthers graphics are pressed flat onto the fabric, which keeps the surface smooth and the jersey light in the hand. The color reads evenly across the numerals and letters, and the clean finish layers comfortably under a jacket or hoodie.

• How should I wash this FIU Panthers Football jersey?

Machine wash this FIU Panthers jersey cold and inside out, then hang it to dry, and the Black stays even through weekly laundry. Avoid ironing directly over the pressed graphics and skip the high-heat dryer. Treated that way, the surface stays smooth wash after wash.

• Does this FIU Panthers jersey fit true to size?

The FIU Panthers youth cut runs true to size with room for a T-shirt underneath. Buyers who want a looser game-day fit, or who plan to layer it in cold weather, usually go one size up. The shoulders sit close and the hem falls at hip level.

• Is Miami Vice the name pressed on the back of this FIU Panthers jersey?

It is: Miami Vice and No. 1 are applied flat to the Black fabric on this FIU Panthers jersey, matching the roster look. A plain-back version of the same FIU Panthers jersey is stocked alongside it if you would rather skip the name.
