Game day, and the rest of the week

Nothing declares which side of the state line you are on as quickly as a men's Illinois Fighting Illini jersey. It does the explaining in one look. That is more useful than it sounds when the room is split down the middle, which is most rooms on a game day.

How it is made

Where the design meets the fabric on this Illinois Fighting Illini jersey, the two sit level with each other rather than one on top of the other. Run a hand across the chest and there is no ridge to find. The garment keeps a single, unbroken line from shoulder to hem.

Washing and everyday wear

Turn it inside out, wash it cold with the rest of the laundry, and hang it to dry — nothing special needed. Keep the iron away from the pressed graphics, and fold it like any other shirt between games. The Illinois Fighting Illini jersey asks for no looking after beyond that.

Questions buyers ask

• Is the design on this Illinois Fighting Illini jersey printed or printed?

The Illinois Fighting Illini graphics are pressed flat onto the fabric, which keeps the surface smooth and the jersey light in the hand. The color reads evenly across the numerals and letters, and the clean finish layers comfortably under a jacket or hoodie.

• Will the Orange fade on this Illinois Fighting Illini jersey in the wash?

Wash it cold, inside out, and hang it to dry: the Orange on this Illinois Fighting Illini jersey holds evenly through weekly laundry. Keep the iron off the pressed graphics and skip high dryer heat, and no other special care is needed.

• What size Illinois Fighting Illini jersey should I order?

For this Illinois Fighting Illini jersey, order the usual men's size: close at the shoulder, straight through the body, with length to wear it tucked or out. Anyone between sizes who plans to layer a hoodie underneath in winter usually goes up one.

• Does this Illinois Fighting Illini jersey come with a player name on the back?

This Illinois Fighting Illini jersey keeps the back plain, so no player name appears on it. The pressed team graphics and the Orange finish carry the look, which keeps it wearable as rosters change from one season to the next.
