Game day, and the rest of the week

A men's Houston Cougars jersey turns up in places nobody planned for it to be worn. The supermarket on a Sunday, the park with the dog, the school run, a friend's kitchen. It stops being event clothing somewhere in the first month and just becomes a top that happens to carry a name.

How it is made

A pressed finish keeps the Houston Cougars jersey flat against the skin and free of any raised edge that could catch on a strap or a seat belt. Nothing sits proud of the weave, so the surface stays even from the chest down. That evenness is the whole reason some people prefer it.

Washing and everyday wear

Turn it inside out, wash it cold with the rest of the laundry, and hang it to dry — nothing special needed. Keep the iron away from the pressed graphics, and fold it like any other shirt between games. The Houston Cougars jersey asks for no looking after beyond that.

Questions buyers ask

• How is the design applied to this Houston Cougars jersey?

The numerals and letters on this Houston Cougars jersey are heat-pressed onto the Blue fabric, so the surface stays smooth with no raised edge. It is a lighter garment for it, and the color reads evenly across the whole design.

• Will the Blue fade on this Houston Cougars jersey in the wash?

Wash it cold, inside out, and hang it to dry: the Blue on this Houston Cougars jersey holds evenly through weekly laundry. Keep the iron off the pressed graphics and skip high dryer heat, and no other special care is needed.

• What size Houston Cougars jersey should I order?

For this Houston Cougars jersey, order the usual men's size: close at the shoulder, straight through the body, with length to wear it tucked or out. Anyone between sizes who plans to layer a hoodie underneath in winter usually goes up one.

• Whose name is on the back of this Houston Cougars jersey?

Nobody's — the back of this Houston Cougars jersey stays plain in the Blue colorway, with the pressed team graphics on the front carrying the look. That makes it a safe pick for fans who do not want a name that leaves when rosters turn over.
