Game day, and the rest of the week

When Illinois Fighting Illini is on, the room tends to fill up early and empty out slowly, and the men's jersey is what most of those people are wearing. It sits through four quarters without getting uncomfortable, which is more than can be said for a lot of game-day clothing.

How it is made

This Illinois Fighting Illini jersey uses pressed detailing, which means a clean surface and a light garment. The color reads evenly across the numerals and letters, and the fabric does not stiffen where the design sits. It stays comfortable under a jacket or on its own, and it packs down to almost nothing.

Washing and everyday wear

Turn it inside out, wash it cold with the rest of the laundry, and hang it to dry — nothing special needed. Keep the iron away from the pressed graphics, and fold it like any other shirt between games. The Illinois Fighting Illini jersey asks for no looking after beyond that.

Questions buyers ask

• Is the design on this Illinois Fighting Illini jersey printed or printed?

The Illinois Fighting Illini graphics are pressed flat onto the fabric, which keeps the surface smooth and the jersey light in the hand. The color reads evenly across the numerals and letters, and the clean finish layers comfortably under a jacket or hoodie.

• Can this Illinois Fighting Illini Football jersey go in the dryer?

Low heat is fine, but this Illinois Fighting Illini jersey dries fast on a hanger after a cold, inside-out wash, so the dryer is optional. Keep the iron away from the pressed graphics — that is the one part of the Orange finish that asks for care.

• What size Illinois Fighting Illini jersey should I order?

For this Illinois Fighting Illini jersey, order the usual men's size: close at the shoulder, straight through the body, with length to wear it tucked or out. Anyone between sizes who plans to layer a hoodie underneath in winter usually goes up one.

• Whose name is on the back of this Illinois Fighting Illini jersey?

Nobody's — the back of this Illinois Fighting Illini jersey stays plain in the Orange colorway, with the pressed team graphics on the front carrying the look. That makes it a safe pick for fans who do not want a name that leaves when rosters turn over.
