Game day, and the rest of the week

For a kid's first Villanova Wildcats jersey, this is the sensible size to buy. It gets worn for more than one season on most kids and stays in the rotation after that, through game days and school weeks alike. There is no reason for a first jersey to be a disposable one.

How it is made

When the design is set flush to the fabric, the Villanova Wildcats jersey holds its line. There is no ridge along the numerals to break the shape of the chest, and nothing to distort the fit at the shoulders. It is a simpler build, and it shows.

Washing and everyday wear

Turn it inside out, wash it cold with the rest of the laundry, and hang it to dry — nothing special needed. Keep the iron away from the pressed graphics, and fold it like any other shirt between games. The Villanova Wildcats jersey asks for no looking after beyond that.

Questions buyers ask

• Does the print on this Villanova Wildcats jersey feel raised?

The Villanova Wildcats graphics sit flat against the White fabric — pressed rather than sewn — so the surface stays smooth and the jersey stays light. The color reads evenly, and the finish layers comfortably under a jacket.

• Will the White fade on this Villanova Wildcats jersey in the wash?

Wash it cold, inside out, and hang it to dry: the White on this Villanova Wildcats jersey holds evenly through weekly laundry. Keep the iron off the pressed graphics and skip high dryer heat, and no other special care is needed.

• Does this Villanova Wildcats jersey fit true to size?

The Villanova Wildcats youth cut runs true to size with room for a T-shirt underneath. Buyers who want a looser game-day fit, or who plan to layer it in cold weather, usually go one size up. The shoulders sit close and the hem falls at hip level.

• Whose name is on the back of this Villanova Wildcats jersey?

Nobody's — the back of this Villanova Wildcats jersey stays plain in the White colorway, with the pressed team graphics on the front carrying the look. That makes it a safe pick for fans who do not want a name that leaves when rosters turn over.
