Game day, and the rest of the week

If there is one piece of Northern Michigan Wildcats clothing a kid will actually wear, it is usually the jersey. It works for games, for school and for the days in between. It also takes a wash without any fuss, which parents tend to notice over a full season.

How it is made

A pressed finish keeps the Northern Michigan Wildcats jersey flat against the skin and free of any raised edge that could catch on a strap or a seat belt. Nothing sits proud of the weave, so the surface stays even from the chest down. That evenness is the whole reason some people prefer it.

Washing and everyday wear

Turn it inside out, wash it cold with the rest of the laundry, and hang it to dry — nothing special needed. Keep the iron away from the pressed graphics, and fold it like any other shirt between games. The Northern Michigan Wildcats jersey asks for no looking after beyond that.

Questions buyers ask

• Does the print on this Northern Michigan Wildcats jersey feel raised?

The Northern Michigan Wildcats graphics sit flat against the Green fabric — pressed rather than sewn — so the surface stays smooth and the jersey stays light. The color reads evenly, and the finish layers comfortably under a jacket.

• Will the Green fade on this Northern Michigan Wildcats jersey in the wash?

Wash it cold, inside out, and hang it to dry: the Green on this Northern Michigan Wildcats jersey holds evenly through weekly laundry. Keep the iron off the pressed graphics and skip high dryer heat, and no other special care is needed.

• How does the Green Northern Michigan Wildcats jersey fit compared with a T-shirt?

This Northern Michigan Wildcats jersey is cut a little closer than a casual T-shirt through the chest and shoulders, in the youth size range, while the Green body leaves room to layer. Most buyers take their usual size; a looser game-day drape means one size up.

• Does this Northern Michigan Wildcats jersey come with a player name on the back?

This Northern Michigan Wildcats jersey keeps the back plain, so no player name appears on it. The pressed team graphics and the Green finish carry the look, which keeps it wearable as rosters change from one season to the next.
