Game day, and the rest of the week

Not every kid is ready to commit to a team, and the Northwestern Wildcats jersey is a low-commitment way in. It gives them the colors without asking them to learn a roster. If they stick with it, the jersey stays useful at school and on game day either way, which is why it is a safe place to start.

How it is made

The Northwestern Wildcats jersey is finished so that the surface stays level across the whole front. Large areas of color come out the same shade as small ones, with no ridge where two elements meet. It is a finish that rewards looking closely, and it stays that way after the first wash.

Washing and everyday wear

Turn it inside out, wash it cold with the rest of the laundry, and hang it to dry — nothing special needed. Keep the iron away from the pressed graphics, and fold it like any other shirt between games. The Northwestern Wildcats jersey asks for no looking after beyond that.

Questions buyers ask

• Is the design on this Northwestern Wildcats jersey printed or printed?

The Northwestern Wildcats graphics are pressed flat onto the fabric, which keeps the surface smooth and the jersey light in the hand. The color reads evenly across the numerals and letters, and the clean finish layers comfortably under a jacket or hoodie.

• Can this Northwestern Wildcats Football jersey go in the dryer?

Low heat is fine, but this Northwestern Wildcats jersey dries fast on a hanger after a cold, inside-out wash, so the dryer is optional. Keep the iron away from the pressed graphics — that is the one part of the Black finish that asks for care.

• Does this Northwestern Wildcats jersey fit true to size?

The Northwestern Wildcats youth cut runs true to size with room for a T-shirt underneath. Buyers who want a looser game-day fit, or who plan to layer it in cold weather, usually go one size up. The shoulders sit close and the hem falls at hip level.

• Whose name is on the back of this Northwestern Wildcats jersey?

Nobody's — the back of this Northwestern Wildcats jersey stays plain in the Black colorway, with the pressed team graphics on the front carrying the look. That makes it a safe pick for fans who do not want a name that leaves when rosters turn over.
