Game day, and the rest of the week

Buying for a kid is usually easier than buying for an adult, because the Texas Tech Red Raiders colors do most of the deciding. A jersey lands well no matter which sport they actually follow. It also gets worn immediately, which is the real test of a gift.

How it is made

The Texas Tech Red Raiders jersey finished this way stays quiet against a bag strap and a seat belt on a long drive. There is no raised graphic for a strap to rub against on a commute, and nothing for a seat belt to press into over a long drive. Small details, but they add up over a week.

Washing and everyday wear

Turn it inside out, wash it cold with the rest of the laundry, and hang it to dry — nothing special needed. Keep the iron away from the pressed graphics, and fold it like any other shirt between games. The Texas Tech Red Raiders jersey asks for no looking after beyond that.

Questions buyers ask

• Is the design on this Texas Tech Red Raiders jersey printed or printed?

The Texas Tech Red Raiders graphics are pressed flat onto the fabric, which keeps the surface smooth and the jersey light in the hand. The color reads evenly across the numerals and letters, and the clean finish layers comfortably under a jacket or hoodie.

• How should I wash this Texas Tech Red Raiders Football jersey?

Machine wash this Texas Tech Red Raiders jersey cold and inside out, then hang it to dry, and the Red stays even through weekly laundry. Avoid ironing directly over the pressed graphics and skip the high-heat dryer. Treated that way, the surface stays smooth wash after wash.

• Does this Texas Tech Red Raiders jersey fit true to size?

The Texas Tech Red Raiders youth cut runs true to size with room for a T-shirt underneath. Buyers who want a looser game-day fit, or who plan to layer it in cold weather, usually go one size up. The shoulders sit close and the hem falls at hip level.

• Whose name is on the back of this Texas Tech Red Raiders jersey?

Nobody's — the back of this Texas Tech Red Raiders jersey stays plain in the Red colorway, with the pressed team graphics on the front carrying the look. That makes it a safe pick for fans who do not want a name that leaves when rosters turn over.
